Dynamite Film!! Shot in New York City, the Director Ray Yeung captured the atmosphere and feelings of the Big Apple. Making this film even more enticing and meaningful was a terrific cast of Asian heritage. Film is more than casting big named Caucasian stars to bring big box office returns.
Ryan played by Jake Choi is a fashion stylist in NYC. Jake is cool as can be and handles all the pressures of being gay and Asian. Then one day a famous Chinese movie star Ning, played by James Chen comes to NY for a fashion shoot and publicize his next film.
James is uptight about American racism and animosity towards China. James only wants to work with a stylist of Asian heritage. Thus Ryan is drafted to assist James. Ryan and James hang together to finish a photo shoot, but overcome many difficulties with fellow workers, the media, friends, and families. Their work relationship becomes closer and closer and a loving connection starts.[embedyt] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXHq_lipMoo[/embedyt]
The script is well written. Bringing out many issues of culture, race, sex and family. Wonderful film and hope to see more from Ray Yeung.
