Reading the synopsis of Sing Street, set the tone for a fun film about young Irish youngsters discovering the power and fun of music. Set in Ireland during tough economic times of the 80’s, it is easy to see why music was attractive to the unemployed.

The film started off well, but quickly dove into an example of good script that was butchered with poor casting. An excellent script doesn’t work when the casting is so poor. The cast didn’t fit the roles of the characters.

Save your time. Watch another film.
