MANCHESTER BY THE SEA, was one of the year’s disappointments for me. The best part of the film was shots of Manchester, the ocean and town.
Lee Chandler is leading a tough life. His family is splintered, he has no ambition. Then to make matters worse he is asked in a will, to look after his teenage nephew. Depressing story across the board. The Director made this movie even more grueling by long shots, dragging this film over two hours and 15 minutes.
